About me.
I am currently in my 8th year as Ward 2 Trustee with the Black Gold School Division Board of Trustees. Prior to being elected on the Board, I was an active school council member.
I am a mother and wife, passionate about my kids, learning, the education system, and the future of our children.
I am an enthusiastic life-long learner and an avid reader. I enjoy reading research related to educational theory and practice, as well as best practice and new trends in the fields of leadership and governance.
From reading, having an active and dedicated partner engaged in the school system, being a parent of school-aged children, and having peers with children in school, I have gained a lot of different perspectives. I look forward to using my personal experience and acquired knowledge to support the future of all our children.
My self-care ideally includes creating healthy recipes, tea, reading, aromatherapy, running stairs, walking the trails, and of course enjoying precious family time. In reality - it mostly includes slipping some of the above in between creating car suppers and driving kids to extra-curriculars! And I wouldn't change it for anything!

Leading with integrity and compassion are core for me. I have been commended for my strong moral compass - I use this as my guide for my actions and my decision making. Empathy and respect fosters strong relationship building essential to thoughtful governance.
